A lovely specimen displaying a rich coverage of the super rare zinc phosphate mineral, skorpionite from its Type Locality, from where it gets its name.
The mineral takes the form of hundreds of colourless acicular crystals in association with calcite crystals.
Under short wave UV light the skorpionite produces a bright yellow colour.
